Amastones' Contribution to Preserving Paiter Suruí Culture

At Amastones, we are committed to preserving indigenous cultures and protecting valuable territories. It is with great pleasure that we announce our partnership with the Paiter A Soe Museum. As part of our social responsibility, we are dedicating a percentage of all sales to support the mission of this remarkable museum. Together, we are working to preserve, protect, disseminate, and record the history of the Paiter Suruí Indigenous people, focusing on their customs, culture, and identity. We would also like to share and further elaborate about the incredible work that the museum continues to accomplish.

The Paiter A Soe Museum: A Window into Paiter Suruí Culture

The Paiter A Soe Museum has been in existence for seven years and is located in the "Sete de Setembro" Indigenous Territory in the Gapgir Village, in Rondônia, Brazil. This institution is a women-led, community-based initiative, with the support of husbands, children, and elders, who dedicate their efforts to defending the rights and preserving the ancestral territory of the Paiter Suruí people.

Socio-Environmental Projects and Objectives

The Paiter A Soe Museum focuses on specific projects that have the goal of promoting the well-being of the Paiter Suruí people. They aim to do this by teaching about income generation, climate urgency, and rainforest conservation. Their main objectives relate to the preservation of their land and empowerment of the local community.

In regards to the preservation of their territory, the museum works tirelessly to mitigate the effects of climate change and to preserve what remains of the forest for future generations of the Paiter Suruí. They understand the importance of maintaining ecological balance in their region and work diligently to help continue this mission.

When it comes to community empowerment, the association seeks to develop the community for both well-informed and effective decision-making. To accomplish this, they offer leadership training workshops, skills training, and resource mobilization. This helps to improve the management and governance of their territory.
