Eco-Jewelry Born from the Amazon Rainforest

From the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest, our eco-jewelry is crafted from natural elements sourced from nature, such as scales from various fish species, seeds, plant fibers, coconut shells, dried fruits, shells, bones, feathers, and other resources. These materials are extracted in an ecologically responsible manner, ensuring environmental preservation while generating income for the community. The use of these sustainable raw materials allows for the creation of marketable and viable pieces.

Our eco-jewelry stands out for its appreciation of Brazilian culture, recognizing and reclaiming elements of history, beliefs, values, and traditions of the national population, taking into account the particularities of each state.

One of the products we love working with is bio-jewelry made from natural rubber extracted from rubber trees native to the Amazon. Rubber trees produce latex, a milky sap found in their bark. Latex is a high-quality natural raw material with elastic, resistant, and sustainable properties, as it leaves no residue in the environment. Since ancient times, indigenous peoples have been extracting latex, using it to craft rubberized handmade objects for domestic use.

The technique used to extract the material involves making incisions in the trunk of the rubber tree to expose the parts responsible for latex production and allow its release. This extraction process is conducted carefully to avoid harming the healthy development of the plant. The cutting areas, known as panels, are alternated regularly to avoid interfering with the continuous growth of the rubber tree.

After the extraction, the natural rubber is mixed with acai seed fibers, creating a beautiful mold. Artistic hand-paintings are then applied, resulting in a unique product. This endeavor provides income for entire families in the region. By acquiring these eco-jewelry pieces, you not only possess an exclusive product, but also support the livelihoods of families in the Amazon region.
